Before surgery:
I wasn't overly nervous because it wasn't a big surgery but this was my first time getting any plastic surgery and I was still anxious that my own fat would be extracted and transferred. My consultant called me the day before surgery to give me some precautions before surgery. Fasting wasn't that hard as my surgery was the first one scheduled in the morning.

Day of surgery:
There weren't a lot of people at the clinic on the day of my surgery, likely because it was the first one in the morning, so I was prepped for surgery right away when I arrived. I was told to change into a hospital gown, take off my socks and put on slippers. Then I needed to wash my face so I did so in their sink. I spoke to my consultant briefly, then went in to see the surgeon for a final consult before my surgery. He really understood how I was feeling so I wasn't very worried. After our talk, I went straight to an operating room.
Before the surgery started, a nurse went over the precautions with me, then the surgeon came in and gave me anesthesia. I don't remember anything after that and when it was over, around an hour or so had passed. It was roughly the duration my surgeon had said it would take so I thought the surgery must've gone well. Once most of the anesthesia wore off, I took a cab home with my friend who hurriedly came to get me.

Day after surgery:
I wasn't that inconvenienced living life as usual, and the feeling of anesthesia was went away by the evening of my surgery and I felt completely fine. I couldn't really tell on the day of surgery because it was hectic but the area above my eye was tautly smoothened. It was also swollen so it wasn't the final result of surgery but I so happy that the part I wanted improved was.

3 days after surgery:
I was told at the clinic that the swelling would be the most severe on the 3rd day but it just seemed adequately swollen and not so bad to worry me. There was also slight bruising under my eyes. Even though it was a minor surgery, it was still surgery after all so I was okay with that.
I didn't need to revisit the clinic because there were no sutures but because they offered me a complementary laser treatment for the swelling and I lived nearby, I went in briefly for the laser, then returned home. I don't know if I just felt like it worked but it did seem somewhat less swollen.

7 days after surgery:
I feel like there's hardly any swelling looking at it and I was pretty pleased that it looked good overall.

A month after surgery:
I had pre-booked an appointment for a 1-month checkup so I went in to see my consultant and surgeon. I thought I'd have to wait a bit because there were a lot of people there but I actually didn't have to wait that long to see them. My surgeon said that the surgery went well and turned out well with the swelling nearly gone as well. I also thought so myself but felt better hearing the surgeon assuring me so firsthand.

With the tired and old looking aspects improved after surgery, people have been saying that the surgery was really well done and that I now look my age. I, too, agree doing the surgery was a good thing. I think this is because the surgeon put just the right amount in to suit my face.

I'm obviously grateful to my friend for referring me but I owe Dr. Taehee Lee, my surgeon, so much gratitude for being so attentive, hearing me out, and performing such good surgery, even for just a small case like mine.
