Day before surgery
I didn't need to call ahead to ask, my consultant called me first and texted me the guidelines for before surgery so I would be properly prepared and there was no confusion. It wasn't difficult to fast for about 3 hours but I did have jitters, this being my first surgery...

Day of surgery
I arrived on time for my reservation on the day of surgery. They checked my passport and after I paid, I got changed and washed my face. After I had my final consultation with the surgeon, I had photos taken and filled out a consent form. Because I didn't have a guardian with me, a staff member suggested we go over the precautions after surgery in advance because I probably wouldn't remember after my surgery, and we booked my next appointment to get the sutures removed. In the OR, I answered a few questions the nurse had for me, then the surgeon came in and started anesthesia. After he counted 1, 2, 3...I blacked out!
When I came to, the nurse helped me up and walked me to the recovery room, where I lied down for about 30 minutes. I was grateful she told me to rest comfortably until I fully recovered and it was so thoughtful to be asked whether I could get home okay or needed a cab. After I recovered, I was great to be reminded once again to apply ointment and use the ice pack well before I left the clinic even though it was hectic. I ate a regular meal about 3 hours later, as I was instructed! My eyes were a bit swollen but I was still hungry, haha I think the operation went really well because it didn't hurt at all surprisingly!

Before I needed to return for treatment, I used an ice pack diligently and walked around a lot indoors so by the 5th day, the swelling had really gone down. And luckily, I didn't bruise very much either. I'm sure this is all thanks to such a skilled surgeon. I also applied ointment on my eyes 3 times a day. I was a bit tricky washing my face without getting any water on the wound but I was extremely careful because I didn't want the scar to get infected.

Treatment 7 days after surgery
I was disinfected and met my surgeon Dr. Taehee Lee and had my sutures removed. I was really nervous thinking it would hurt but I think it was bearable.. After my sutures were removed, they gave me complementary laser treatment for the swelling so I got to lie down and rest for a bit! I think Dr. Lee knew I was leaving the country because he told me to take selfies because I wouldn't be here a month later and that he'd have a look at them. I felt like I could return home without any concerns.

One month after surgery
I thought the swelling was completely gone and was genuinely happy with the results but Dr. Lee said that there's still slight swelling remaining and that I'd have to wait it out for 3 months. Hearing that made more excited in anticipation. Everyone who knew my face before said that the surgery turned out really well and that my image had changed. I, myself, am really happy with how my image changed. I'm so happy with how clear and distinct my eyes have become!
