- I booked for Ultra G-Fat but got the G-Fat instead. I don't know why as I only found out that it was just G-Fat after the procedure when I asked to confirm. I was only charged for G-Fat. (I would like to try Ultra next time)
- Dr. Hong was nice and made me feel comfortable, playing my fave music and chatting with me while doing the procedure.
- I've read about other staff being cold or rude but the 2 ladies who assisted me were sweet and kind. They had very little English but used a translator app when needed.
- Be mentally ready to expose your body. At one point I was questioning my decision as I stood there with nothing but a disposable thong and nipple tapes.
- While lying on the table, the nurses wrapped my hands and put iodine solution all over my body.
- I did not feel any pain with the injections.
- When the solution was put in my body, I felt like a balloon about to burst. It was uncomfortable but not painful.
- During the abdomen fat extraction, there was pain on the sides and the part under breast. I guess this was where I had less fat? It was very painful for me then. I just imagined all my fats getting sucked so I that helped me through!
- Total fat removed was over 2500cc from the abdomen and arms. I saw the fats. What a liberating feeling!
- After the procedure, Dr. Hong asked what my babies' weights were when they were born. Then he said that the fat removed was heavier than a baby! Haha! He walked out of the room and 2 female nurses came to massage me real hard (one was on the left, the other on my right) to remove the fluid inside. They then cleaned my body and bandaged the areas. I was asked to dress up. It was all done! Dressed up in dark clothing (long sleeves and comfortable pants).
- I brought a disposable adult diaper with ne and used this.
- Dr. Hong said because there was a lot of fat removed from my abdomen, he recommends that I wear a compression garment. One of the staff gave me the address of Eden Medical (they make medical-grade compression garments) and I walked 8-10 mins to get my measurements taken. It would be ready in 2 hours but I decided to just come back for it the next day. It was a perfect fit and helped me a lot. I still wear it to this day.
- Before going to Eden Medical, I went to get a list of things prescribed by Dr Hong at the pharmacy on the ground floor. While waiting for the items, I noticed that my right elbow had started to leak. Luckily, I was ready with heavy duty menstrual pads and medical tape so I quickly put one one my elbow with the help of my companion.
- I went back to my hotel and then went to a coffee shop. I noticed my left front thigh was wet - from the left hole in my abdomen that was leaking! I again just put a pad.
- In the evening, when replacing the steri-strips and pads, I noticed heavy leaking on my left elbow (red fluid squirted) and left abdomen. I had to go into the shower area as the red fluid just kept flowing. It felt like I was in a horror comedy show!
For me, it was really important and helpful that I had someone dependable and trustworthy to help me. So have someone with you that you are okay showing your body to.
- The next day, only the hole on the left abdomen was leaking lightly.
- My tummy had lumps and bumps and looked really weird. I expected this from the reviews I read so I was not bothered.
- I could already see my arms looked slimmer. But when I measured them, they were still the same size.
- Bruising started Day 2. The bruises disappeared by Day 7 except for the lower belly where I still have some dark bruising.
- I was active everyday - walking thousands of steps a day. There was a little discomfort and soreness but nothing that stopped me from going out.
- On my plane ride on Day 8, I removed the compression garment mid-flight as it was so uncomfortable.
- Holes are healing well so far.
- I will try to post more updates in the future.
