Week 3 Update - Abdomen & Armpit Area Liposuction
Here’s my honest 3-week update:
It’s officially been three weeks since my surgery, and overall, recovery has been smooth.
For the first two weeks, I wore the compression garment 24/7. After that, I transitioned to wearing it mostly at night. I still feel some hardness in certain areas, but it has gone down significantly compared to week one. The bruising is completely gone now, and I’m not experiencing any pain. I’ve been taking bromelain to help with swelling, and I do think that combined with consistent compression has made a difference.
In terms of results, the biggest improvement is definitely in my arms. Comparing my before photos to two weeks post-op, the change there is noticeable. This is the area I’m most excited about because I’ve never really felt comfortable wearing sleeveless tops or tube tops before. Now I can actually see a difference.
For my stomach, the visual change isn’t dramatic yet, which I expected. I knew going into this that the procedure isn’t a replacement for exercise. It’s meant to target stubborn fat, not create a completely flat stomach without lifestyle changes. That said, I’ve noticed that my clothes fit better. My pants aren’t as tight around my waist, and the lower belly line I usually have has softened, which I’m happy about.
Overall:
• No pain
• Bruising resolved
• Swelling improving
• Arms show the most visible change
• Clothes fit better
I’m planning to do another update at week four and then a more detailed comparison at week six (before vs. three weeks vs. six weeks).
So far, recovery has been manageable and smooth, and I’m feeling good about the progress.
