G Fat Removal for lower body
I came for knee and upper thigh liposuction. I know many would frown why a normal BMI person like me wants to do lipo, but I’ve been bothered by huge thigh and knee since young l. No matter how i exercise, it’s there. It’s genetics. I’ve never had a chance to look good in skirts, shorts or cute puffy dress, although my waist is generally smaller than my friends around me.
I went to the clinic and was attended by Dr Hong. He said I didn’t need lipo but after adresssing my concerns, he said could help. He pointed out 4 sections on the upper thigh and knee that required removal and I proceeded to surgery on the same day.
I also asked if I should do face lipo, he said I didn’t need it and asked me to consider b*tox instead. I also went ahead to do jaw and forehead b*tox at the clinic.
I had good impressions of the clinic and the doctor prior to the surgery, but it was only during the surgery that I was disappointed in the team.
I expected numbing cream to be applied prior to the b*tox treatment but he went ahead without it. I said it was too painful and asked if he could continue the rest of the session with numbing cream applied, he just said that the cream wouldn’t help much as injection was done inside the skin. I literally teared as he went on injecting the rest all over my forehead.
I believe if numbing cream was applied to the face and also the 4 areas where the holes for the lipo created, it would have eased my comfort so much more.
The procedure was already so painful when he started off b*tox without numbing cream. He then proceeded with poking 4 holes for lipo. There was so much pain and discomfort when the local anaesthesia was inserted. I felt faintish even at the beginning, so I told him i brought candy and if I could just eat one while he was doing it. He told me not to worry and I was just feeling nervous. He proceeded with the knee, the other thigh and knee and it was such a torture 😢
I really wasn’t feeling nervous (out of no reasons), I was just worried about fainting or something more severe because my friends warn me the dangers of lipo before. But then I somehow trust the Koreans better when it comes to PS so that’s why I still went ahead with it.
Then he left the operating room and I thought it was over. He came back about 15-20mins later and asked if I was still dizzy and if I was ready to start. I was like “what?? I thought you were done?” He said that was just inserting the local anaesthesia and to soften the fats. I was like OMG SERIOUSLY… 😭😭😭
I thought the lipo would be entirely painless since anaesthesia was already injected but I did get pain here and there, at the buttock and near the knee. I don’t know if the anaesthesia applied wasn’t wide enough to cover all areas or what but there was just pain sometimes. It’s like 80% discomfort, 20% pain. I was crying in my heart and wondering why I put myself in such a torment when I wasn’t that fat to begin with.
It was not all bad though, I think the Dr tried to ease my pain and making small talks with me. He asked about my holiday, how was the covid situation in my country, and how he missed visiting my country. I wish he knew I wasn’t just scared and nervous, I was really very uncomfortable and the procedure was not as painless as I thought it would be.
Then I told myself that I just gotta remind myself that I really hated how my thighs look and that I would be a happier person after seeing those results. After the procedure, they just told me to change and went back downstairs.
What disappoint me the most was that NO ONE SHOWED ME MY FATS. When I asked to see, they said that they had it thrown away already. I was really very disappointed. I never thought I that I need to ask to be shown. I start to wonder what if I have too little fats and they didn’t extract enough so they didn’t show me? I just went through so much unnecessary pain and discomfort not knowing how much fats were removed.
So when I asked the quantity, they told me it was 400cc, which is similar to a small 400ml bottle of water. But then again, not seeing is not believing. I just had to trust them and it really left me very disappointed. It’s like you painstakingly gave birth to a baby and you can’t see your own baby.
I don’t see my thigh any smaller at all. I did notice it a bit for the knees. I just hope the result will show much later. Now I have a lot of bruising and limp a bit as I walk, I just hope it recovers and that this surgery was worth it.
To those who desires to do liposuction, my advice is to remind them to show you your fats. Don’t assume they will auto show you. Also, remember to shave your pubic hair. Because the nurse who bandaged me just went ahead to plaster on my pubic hair. It’s funny to read but really painful to remove. Also, Don’t go when they are closing too, I feel that was the reason why my fat was thrown away so quickly.
