Hi guys! I recently underwent mint thread lifting, nasolabial fold filler and facial liposuction at Grace Surgery on May 2nd. I had a consultation with the doctor a few weeks before - originally I was just planning on getting the thread lifting and filler, but after talking with Dr Choi he suggested I get facial liposuction too to achieve the effect I was aiming for. I had no problems during the consultation - Dr Choi’s English was great and he had a understanding of how to achieve the lifting and slimming effect I wanted. On the day of the surgery, I had to fast and my appointment was at 5:30pm, so I was really hungry and thirsty by then 😥 Went I arrived, we went through the plan for surgery, paid, and then it was time for the operation. The nurses were really kind in helping me get ready and could communicate to me in English a little which was good. For the surgery I opted for no sedation because I have had bad reactions to sedation medication in the past, however unless you are like me and have had bad effects with sedation before, I definitely recommend opting for sedation during the surgery. I had around 8 numbing injections on each side of my face which were super painful and definitely the worst part of the surgery - but Dr Choi could see I was struggling with the pain a bit and helped me relax and calm down. The rest of the surgery wasn’t painful but it was quite uncomfortable, especially during the thread lift, but the doctor worked fast so I could be more comfortable sooner. Then I was bandaged up, given some after care guidance and a prescription and went to my apartment after going to the pharmacy. I took a taxi back home as my face was super swollen and crazy looking, especially right after the surgery. The first night was really really painful and I almost regretted my decision. But after that night, the pain became less and less quite fast, so my recovery was relatively comfortable. I wore the compression garment given to me for 2 weeks straight which really helped reduce the swelling!! Right now it’s been just over a month since I had the surgery and I’m so happy with my results. As you can see from the before and after photos I attached, my face was quite chubby, especially around the jaw and chin - but after the surgery my face has really slimmed out. I’m especially happy with my side profile which I used to be really insecure about! Overall I had a really good experience at this clinic and if you guys have any questions I’ll do my best to try and answer! ^-^
