Breast Augmentation Story, Tips, Questions, Expectations, etc
Hi fellow Talkers,
Let me share my hilarious and enlightening breast augmentation journey from 2019, so you don't make the same funny mistakes and unrealistic expectations like me.
Background:
As you can see from the pics, my chest was pretty flat. In the Philippines, I got lucky with La Senza's double/triple padded push-up bras. But when I moved to Aus, no La Senza, and being a new migrant had its struggles. My issue: big "puson" and flat chest. Dieting made it worse 😂. So I faced a tough choice: liposuction vs. breast augmentation. I chose the latter, inspired by girls with big bellies and bigger boobs, looking voluptuous instead of pregnant! 😆
I consulted in Aus, hoping for 400cc implants. But no luck, no April schedule. Since I owed annual leave, I searched for a breast augmentation package with surgery in Phuket, impulsively hasty solo travel style! 😅
On the consultation/surgery day in Thailand, I showed the doctor a pic of an acquaintance (mean, I know) and complained about hard and uneven boobs she had and I don’t want that on my boobs lol. Still undecided on size, I said something conservative but last minute, literally on the surgery table, I told him to put the biggest implant that will stay soft. 🎢
Post-surgery, I saw my boobs in bandages and had a massive breakdown. I was bawling my eyes out, thinking about all the time, money, and unpaid leaves spent for this (see the photo on the bandage). But my surgeon calmly reminded me of my pre-op request, and I stopped mopping. I even defied hospital advice and went to an island in Phuket on day 3! 🏝️

It took me over a month to comfortably sleep on my side back in Aus.
Takeaways:
- Ask yourself what's important to you: look, touch, size. Adjust your expectations accordingly and ask your doc for advice.
- Teardrop or round? The shape is important!
- Ask your doctor/hospital about implant suitability, warranty, post-op care, and emergency contact.
Notes:
- Boobs change with time, especially after kids.
- Gravity causes sagging, big or small.
- Implants start hard and soften over months, except if you choose the look ones. If too hard, check for capsular contracture.
- Remember, all surgeries carry risks!
Alright, friends, I'll continue my crying marathon due to a breakup! 😂 Sorry for the novel-length post again. Stay awesome! 🌟
