Healthier food alternatives for lazy people like me
Hello everyone! I don’t know for you, but I HATE exercising, however, I still want to be healthier. I LOVE food and gain weight super easily so here are some switches that I made and helped me loose a little bit of weight.
Keep in mind that I know that I could cook healthier, but I decided to only include already pre-made alternative because I’m pretty lazy.
1. Switching rice for cauliflower rice
I love rice and making sushi at home, and I recently started using cauliflower rice. I take one frozen packet, put it in a pan, add 2 oz of rice vinegar and 2 oz of soy sauce. When it start sticking a little to the pan, I add 1 oz Philadelphia and mix. This make the rice sticky and easier to work with for making sushi.
2. Bread for rice cakes
I started using rice cakes with literally everything that I used to put on my toast. This includes peanut butter and bananas, nutella, and my favorite: goat cheese and cranberry sauce.
3. Seaweed for chips
This one is new, but so far so good. Basically buy prepackaged salty seaweed sheets.
4. Banana for cinnamon rolls
Weird, but I cut up bananas, add a load of cinnamon powder and a syrup. I mix melted butter with powdered sugar and a little bit pf milk. I only put a little bit of syrup.
5. Sodas for Zero/Diet sodas
I know that this is not the best thing to do, but it makes me feel full and I enjoy the taste as much as the regular soda.
6. Candy for smart sweet candy
When I really want to eat candy, I buy this brand called ‘Smart Sweets’. Only 100 calories for the whole packets, but keep in mind that it is expensive! About 4$cad for a packet.
