Chuseok
I have known Korea and korean culture since I was 9 years old now I'm 22y'o But it was until this year that I began to investigate what is the exact date on which Chuseok is celebrated You know is there are many things you learn from a culture that you like.
Chuseok seems to me a very nice warm and special holiday And this year, even though I don't live in Korea, I want to thank you for all the good things about this year.
And there is a dish that is made for the seollal ceremony called Songpyeon are steamed rice cakes filled with sesame seed or beans and these are half-moon shaped This year I want to learn how to prepare for the Chuseok date I don't live in my native country I am far from my family I only live with my dad And I want to prepare it to share with him and maintain the Korean culture of giving and sharing even though I don't belong to the culture.
And what are you planning to do for Chuseok? and if you are from Korea or live in Korea, tell me, what are you doing on this beautiful date?
