Part one: ( Honest & personal experience)
I recently visited MIHO Plastic Surgery for non-incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and non-implant rhinoplasty, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived at the clinic, Dr. Yoon Jeongwon, Dr. Yoon Sukho, and their exceptional team, including Kevin, made me feel welcomed and well-cared for.
~~I’m currently in my 7 days post op, got my cast and stitches removed as well.
Consultation Day:
I met Kevin at the clinic and had the opportunity to meet with both doctors. My goal for this surgery is not to change my face drastically or become unrecognizable. I love and appreciate my natural face; I just want a slight enhancement while still looking like myself. During our conversations before I arrived in Seoul, Kevin provided quotes for my surgery plan. I knew I wanted non-incisional eyelid surgery and ptosis correction because my eyelids are hooded, and I desired a more visible eyelid. Since I don't have much excess skin, the doctor recommended non-incisional surgery, which he believed would be effective for me, along with ptosis correction to help my eyes open wider.
Regarding my nose, I have a normal bridge with a droopy tip that makes it look bulbous. I am not interested in a very high, curvy nose and do not want an implant. Dr. Yoon was very understanding and worked hard to fulfill my wishes.
What I particularly appreciate about the doctors here is that they are not pushy and respect my preferences. People view things differently, and the most important thing for me is that I feel it’s the right choice for myself. I’m not doing this to validate anyone else's opinion, because you can never be enough for others, but you can be enough for yourself.
I had initially planned to visit a few clinics for comparison, but after visiting MIHO first and having such a great experience, I decided to go with them and cancel my other appointments. Kevin helped me schedule the surgery for two days later
Surgery day:
My surgery took place in the morning around 10 am. I was put to sleep and woke up around 2-3 pm, after which I went home. I didn’t feel any pain, though my nose felt numb and my eyes were teary and blurry. That night was quite uncomfortable, as I kept waking up because I'm not used to breathing through my mouth and felt like I was choking on air.
First Day Post-Op:
I had to return to the clinic to have the packing removed from my nose, undergo cleansing, and receive deswelling treatment and an antibiotic shot. Although my pain tolerance is quite low, I wouldn’t describe any of these procedures as painful—just briefly uncomfortable. The nurse and Kevin were very supportive and understanding, which made the experience much easier.
Second, Third and fourth Days Post-Op:
These days were quite similar, as I spent most of my time resting and eating soft foods like instant porridge while avoiding spicy dishes. Although the clinic didn’t restrict any specific foods, they advised me to avoid spicy ones. Eager for a quick and smooth recovery, I followed all the advice I found online, avoiding foods like seafood and other items suggested by Google.
However on the fourth day, there’s another cleansing and treatment session provided. And my nose has stop bleeding since third day in the morning.
For these 3 days the swelling will be at it peak but it wasn’t that bad for me, it was quite average but yeah just keep using the ice pack provided by clinic.
Fifth and Sixth Days post op:
From the fourth day onward, I started using a warm pack. The swelling began to subside, and I even ventured out, taking the train. However, I remained cautious with chewing and continued to avoid hard and spicy foods, as I didn’t want to risk choking, coughing, or sneezing during this period.
Seventh Day Post-Op:
Today is the day for my official check-up! I went to the clinic, where I met Kevin, and the nurse was very gentle and kind while removing my stitches and administering an antibiotic shot, along with vitamin and deswelling laser treatments.
I understand that this is a period where you might not see the final results due to swelling, but I’m already pleased with what I see and confident it will improve as the swelling decreases. Dr. Yoon Jeongwon checked the healing of my eyelids and noted that everything looks great, with only a bit of bruising and swelling. My eyelids are very even, and my eyes appear significantly larger in a positive way, which I love.
Dr. Yoon Sukho, known for his perfectionism, also examined my nose. It’s healing well, and I achieved the slim, higher tip I wanted. He did notice a slight narrowing of the nostril on my right side and provided me with a nose retainer to use at home or while sleeping over the next few weeks to a month to achieve the desired nostril shape.
A huge thank you to Kevin, who made everything run so smoothly for me. His warmth, professionalism, and dedication shone through every step of the way. Even with his busy schedule, Kevin always took the time to answer my questions, reassure me, and check on my recovery. I genuinely appreciate how much he cared and how it made my journey easier and comfortable.
I will post my part 2 after 3 months post op guys stay tune^^!!
