During my initial consultation, Ms. Jiyu kindly explained the procedure and interpreted when Dr. Lee entered the room. I expressed that I wanted to remove the large hump on my nose, correct my droopy nose tip, and raise the bridge. I also mentioned that I had gotten dissolvable threads about 3 years ago. Then, I showed Dr. Lee a couple of photos of my ideal nose. He was very knowledgeable and suggested hump removal, bridge augmentation, drooping tip correction, subdermal graft, donor rib cartilage (if needed) and thread removal (if needed). Except for the bridge and tip augmentation, everything else had an additional charge. The total cost of the procedure seemed very reasonable to me, so I booked my surgery for two days later. On the day of the surgery, I was very anxious, but I quickly felt much better because Ms. Jiyu was by my side the whole time, answering questions, interpreting, and comforting me. I had a second consultation with Dr. Lee right before the surgery to confirm my expectations, and we went to the operation room shortly after. I was sedated during the whole surgery and woke up as the nurses were taping the splint on my nose. I was then moved to a recovery room, where I used an ice pack to help reduce swelling. Ms. Jiyu gave me a recovery kit with post-care instructions, an ice pack, cotton swabs, extra gauze, and facial wipes. She explained that the surgery went very well. I'm very grateful to Ms. Jiyu and Dr. Lee for taking such great care of me. Since that day, I have been returning to Ruby for free de-swelling treatment almost every day. Today, I had my cast and external stitches removed. I am extremely happy with my new nose! My nose still has some swelling remaining, but it has been healing well so far. I was told that the swelling should continue to decrease throughout the year. The dissolvable stitches inside my nostrils should fall out in a week or two. Overall, I had a great experience at Ruby and love the result! The whole team exceeded my expectations, with everyone being very kind, inviting, and informative. I'll update again at the three-month mark!
