My rhinoplasty journey - primary and revision at Ruby
Hey all
Today I wanted to share with you my journey with getting 2 rhinoplasties in less than a year 😅 at ruby. Long story short, the first surgery resulted in a visible assymetry, but Ruby offered to fix it for free so I had my second rhinoplasty a bit over a week ago and now I'm satisfied with the result 😊
I ve been thinking about a nose job forever (first photo is before), so after moving to korea last autumn I decided that it s high time i get it done. I had consultations with multiple clinics, after which I decided to go with Ruby. The had a really good promotion on All about MEI at the time, the staff seemed professional and the before-after photos looked good.
In December 2022 I had my first plastic surgery ever - a rhinoplasty and blerophasty. You can see the results of the blerophasty in my previous posts.
For the nose job, I did my bridge, tip, bulbous and drooping nose correction. My main concerns were that my nose was too big (especially too wide), the tip was dropping and I had a small bump on the side.
In the second photo you can see my nose after the surgery. Although some aspects improved, the nostrils were clearly assymetric from the front. The tip also looked different from each profile.
I rased my concerns to Ruby during the follow up appointment 1 month post surgery. I was told it might still be swelling and that we need to wait half a year to see if I need a revision.
I patiently waited for my second follow up appointment, 6 months post surgery, during which I again raised my concerns about the assymetry. The doctor agreed with me that there seems to be a deviation of the tip (which I had originally but which wasn't fixed during the first surgery), and offered a free revision, which I gladly scheduled.
I had my second rhinoplasty ar ruby a bit over a week ago now. The last 2 photos were taken exactly 1 week after the surgery.
Although i wish my nose looked fine the first time 😅, all in all, I'm satisfied with the service I received at Ruby. I'm glad there was no issue with offering me a revision, which I know isn't always the case with many clinics. The staff was also nice and supportive throughout the process. And most importantly, I'm happy with the final result. 😊
