I had always been self conscious of my side profile and my chubby cheeks so I decided to finally address my concerns. I, like most people did a lot of research and after reading many reviews later, the consensus was Shinsang PS. I decided to book in a consultation through All About Mei.

Upon arrival I was greeted by my English translator, Jina who was the sweetest, friendliest and most helpful support system throughout the entire process. 

I initially wanted CPC, buccal fat removal and/or cheek lipo but the doctor suggested that I would achieve the best results if I get CPC, buccal fat removal, neck reduction and neck excision. He used an ultrasound device to show the percentage and thickness of the fat around my neck and cheek region which was incredibly helpful in my decision making. 

The doctor spoke fluent English but it was still nice to have Jina with me. Jina was there at every step, from photo taking, guiding me to the surgery room and then post surgery, to the rest area, helping me pick up medication at the Pharmacy and sending check up messages throughout the week.

I kept the compression band on pretty much the entire week and only took it off to apply ointment and change bandages. 

I visited the clinic on the 7th day, post surgery (also the day I was flying back home) for a final check up and photos. Usually stitches are removed 14 days post surgery but as I was leaving Korea I asked the doctor if I could have them taken out early, to which he obliged after the check up. 

The doctor said to keep wearing the compression band for a month (day and night). I followed his orders as I wanted to achieve the best results possible. 

Fast forward to 2 months post op, my chin and cheeks are more defined than before. I read that you don’t see the final results until at least the 4th month so I still have more healing to do. However I’m pleased with my results so far and would recommend this procedure. 

On a side note, at the Incheon airport, I noticed I may not have received a copy of the tax free receipt with the barcode so I wasn’t able to get my tax back. When I contacted Jina about it she was so incredibly prompt to help me with the issue. She got in contact with a tax agent and was able to process my tax refund in a matter of days and have since received it. Thank you again Jina!
