Consultation and surgery at Shinsang
Hi everyone, as you might know, yesterday was the big day for my surgery at Shinsang clinic. I was excited but really nervous at the same time since I wanted to do well as their model.
Consultation: So I arrived at 10 Am and was greeted by Manager Marie. She is and is still a sweetheart. She’s always there to reassure and help you go trough all the process of the surgery : )
Then, we filmed videos for the clinic and I was nervous at first, but I had a lot of liberty of speech which I was really happy about !
I was scared to have to say things that were not true, but I was able to come up with my own personal answers : ) But keep in mind that this is probably not the case with all clinics ! That’s why I kind of prefer Shinsang, they are a smaller clinic( at the moment) but you feel really cared for and close to the team, you don’t feel like a number if we compare to bigger clinics !!!
After that, I had my consultation with dr. Lee. I was told that I didn’t need aegyo-sal fillers since my current undereye fit my face quite good.
Dr. Lee used a machine to show me the amount of fat on my chin and jawline. I had plenty of fat under my chin and around the corner of my jaw, I had almost 50% more than a regular person 😅. He explained to me that there is 2 layers of fat, one that is lower and one that is deeper. With CPC, he is able to remove all the fat cells from the deeper layer and he leaves a little bit of fat in the first layer so that the faceline remains smooth ( if this makes sense). He then ties the muscle to get a tight jawline : )
We also went for stage 1 neck reduction ( incisions behind the ears). So with CPC and stage 1 neck reduction, 4 incisions in total.
Finally, I had lower and outer canthoplasty to make my eyes longer and wider. Also to correct the tilt of my outer corners and bring them more into a straight line.
After that I met with Esther to sign do the paperwork and she was so kind like usual. She saw that I was looking really tired and gave me a free treatment to help me feel better. She’s always there to make you feel comfortable!
Surgery: the nurses told me that everything went really well. I woke up around 4 PM ( keep in mind that the surgery was after filming the videos and the consultation) . Compared to the first time, I did not really feel dizzy . Marie helped me buy the medecine at the pharmacy and then I went home.
I did not get any bruises in my eyes which I’m really happy about. The stitches are also really subtle.
For my chin/ jaw, I noticed 2 small bruises, but that’s all for the moment. I’m currently wearing a face band 24/7 since this will really help my recovery. The neck reduction is pretty painful. It feels really tight and you can’t really move your face and open your mouth right after surgery. It’s about a 6/10, but the pain is constant if that makes sense.
They gave me detailed instructions on the recovery and a bag with all the things you will need during recovery.
The pictures are right after surgery and you can see that my face is really swollen, almost bulging out of the face band hahaha.
I will keep you updated for the one week recovery with pictures, so feel free to ask me questions if you have some : )
As a side-note, I also need to thanks Olivia from the all about mei team. Always the best, and helped me so much for the booking and all my questions. Truly an amazing person : )
