Pin and plate removal (update) after V line
I had a v-line and Genioplasty with Dr. Lee in September 2023 (please look back at my previous reviews on that- I’m very happy with my results) and came to see him again in December 2024 for a pin and plate removal in my chin. This is an optional second surgery, and I chose it primarily because the metal was impeding me from getting ultherapy and other non-invasive facial lifting treatments. The surgery was quick and uncomplicated, without the need for general anesthesia/breathing tube (just sedation). In fact, the recovery was so easy that I was able to go out and enjoy Seoul just a few hours after the surgery. I stayed in Korea for a week, with my last follow up with Dr. Lee being 6 days after my pin and plate removal. In terms of recovery, I ate semi-solid foods for the first two days and ate normally thereafter and refrained from brushing my bottom teeth (near the incision) for the first week. There was a bit of swelling in that area but I felt like I could comfortably walk around without anyone noticing. The swelling fully subsided after about a month. I would highly recommend this procedure to anyone considering it!
