Sharing a 1 year update after having had V-line surgery with Dr. Lee at the Face Dental in September 2023. I won’t elaborate too much on the surgery itself because I’ve mentioned it in detail in earlier reviews. In short, I am extremely satisfied with the surgical outcome and my entire experience with Dr. Lee and his staff. I plan on returning to the clinic later this year to have my fixation plate removed (this is optional).

Leaving off from my last review at 3 months post-op, I still had a fair amount of generalized facial swelling and “chipmunk cheeks” which began to subside after the 4 month mark. I would say the 6 month healing estimate is accurate, and I saw the desired sharpness in my jawline and slimming of my lower face around 6-7 months post op.

I am truly impressed and thrilled with Dr. Lee’s work. I had come in last year with a lot of anxiety about surgery and had asked him for a conservative V line and lengthening Genioplasty which only slightly lengthened my chin without changing its shape. Now that I’m fully healed, I can appreciate how these subtle changes can really produce a dramatic improvement in my overall face shape.

The entire process, from start to finish, was so easy and convenient thanks to his wonderful patient coordinator, Olivia. I would recommend Dr. Lee and the Face Dental to anyone considering this procedure both because of the attention and quality of care and because of the natural looking results.
