I highly recommend this clinic to any Americans looking for high-quality orthognathic work in line with U.S. standards at a lower price and a speedier timeline.
I visited this dental clinic earlier this summer for corrective dental surgery, my case was to fix mild protrusion of the frontal teeth. After consulting with dentists in the California area and being quoted upwards of $30,000 with a timeline of having operations 6 months out at the earliest, I decided to travel directly to Korean clinics instead. The tax refund on my procedure alone offset the additional cost of the airline ticket.
Communication was surprisingly fast and incredibly convenient despite being overseas; I got in touch with the clinic by WhatsAPP and they responded immediately with a quote about a third of the price I received in the U.S., one main reason being procedures like these are more common in Korea. The scheduled dates offered for operating was as soon as the next week. After researching popular dental surgery clinics in Seoul accessible to English speakers, I narrowed down options to EU Dental and The Face Dental. Ultimately, I chose The Face Dental due to the their responsiveness, fast communication, and the reputation and experience of its medical team, and specifically Dr. Joongkyou Lee. After learning that he was the head of Orthognathic Surgery at ID Hospital in Seoul before opening his own practice, I felt confident that I would be in good hands despite this being my first visit to Korea.
In person, Dr. Lee was patient and helped guide me throughout the recovery process, with great bedside manner. We discussed the details of the procedure down to the millimeter of adjustment during my consultation and the results were even better than I had expected. The clinic staff is warm and welcoming and made me feel at home in a foreign country; though I had some difficulties with travel, they went out of their way to accommodate me.
Though Korea may seem a far way away, I would strongly recommend those living abroad consider it as a real alternative to local surgeons at the same if not better quality of service.
