Review of 8 Months post Double Jaw Surgery , V-line & Genioplasty
hi there,
im hanna, im excited to share my experience 8months after undergoing double jaw surgery.
overall im satisfied with the results and the journey thus far.
the results has not only improved my facial aesthetics but has also positively impacted my smile. the changes have been significant, i’m thrilled with the improvement symmetry and balance in my facial profile.
for the recovery, a lot of you asking about this. the recovery process was challenging but manageable. as long as u follow the instructions from the doctor & team. there was some discomfort and swelling, but these were expected. there is nothing instant. 8 months post surgery, the majority of swelling had subsided.
follow up appointment with dr lee were reassuring, essential for monitoring my progress and also for remove my pin (optional).
while there has been significant improvement in my ability to chew, i still need to make some adjustment to my chew habits. this is due to undergoing change in nerve sensitivity and the final stage of recovery. adapting to these new sensations and slight adjustment required has been part of process.
(i’m searching on internet, it says it is common things for double jaw surgery)
the face dental was outstanding throughout the entire process. they were informative, supportive, and always available to address any concerns i had. doctor Lee always asked ‘do you have any questions?’ . their expertise and guidence were crucial to my positive experience.
Advice for anyone considering this surgery,
post operative care are key. the results are well worth it, the process is so long, requires time and patience.
fyi, i did pin removal for my jaw on july 2024.
*it’s optional.
the doctor placed pin to help stabilize the bone while they healed.
and the materials they used in medical procedures are genuinely safe and effective for bone healing.
and my bone was totally healed.
but i choose to remove it.
since the removal, everything has been going smoothly and my recovery continues to progress well.
