My recent V-line Surgery at The Face Dental
I recently got V-line surgery here for many reasons. But the main reason was because the doctors specializes in these kinds of surgery and the likelihood that I would get nerve damage was significantly less than if I went to a bigger clinic or hospital where they rush you through. TFD is a smaller clinic attached to the same building as Apgujeong Seoul, which is another plastic surgery clinic specializing in facial lifting and rhinoplasty. The staff here do not speak English well but they will try their best to help you. The doctor however speaks FLUENT English and I had no problem communicating with him. He did a CT scan and showed me why he doesn't over cut the bones on my face since several nerves were vital to facial movement. I also decided to get under chin liposuction along with the V-line surgery to help my face look more contoured. I request for him to make my chin less of a V but more like a U shape since, I'm a male and in Korea sometimes people can go overboard and make a very thin chin which does NOT look natural. However I am about 5 weeks post OP from getting my jawline done and my face has gotten significantly less swollen. In total I got under chin Lipo, jawline contour, genioplasty aka chin advancement, and buccal fat removal. After you get your surgery here you will be monitored for 6-8 hours to make sure your ok and then they will discharge you. Make sure you get a hotel nearby because you won't be able to move much.
The staff will buy you medication and mouthwash, however you do have to pay for that separately. I forgot to mention that consultation also requires a fee that you have to pay as well. I think it was around 100 thousand won for the consult. If you stay in Korea longer it is better since they will give you a deswelling light treatment for 2 weeks. I am still recovering from my surgery so I can't guarantee what the end review will be like. I had a little complication where I couldn't purse my lips and lost movement on half my lower lip after the surgery. I asked the doctor about it and he said that I still need time to recover. I googled it and other doctors say sometimes liposuction and jawline surgery as well as chin surgery can stretch or damage the nerves of the lips and it can take anywhere from weeks to several months to recover. So that is the only CON I have from this clinic and my surgery. The rest of my healing process is going super well. I love my results and will definitely do an UPDATE on my recovery process in a couple months.
