Please look at prior post for Part 1. This is an update on my procedure. It’s been a bit more than a month since my procedure. Attached is my picture before the procedure and three weeks after. There is still quite a bit of swelling in the picture — now more than one month since my mini v line, most of the swelling has diminished, which is exciting, but I still have some amount of difficulty in smiling with my teeth. A closed mouth smile looks more or less normal but the open mouth smile is still quite strange, and I feel tightness to lift my mouth. I think this is normal and am still waiting for this to get better day after day. I have almost all feeling in my chin and lower lip back (maybe 80%) and it’s also getting better by the day. One thing I did notice was weird was that the proportion of my upper vs lower lips was different than prior to the procedure. I have pretty full lips but top and bottom is usually about the same size. After the procedure my top lip looked way bigger than the bottom lip, which was definitely a look I wasn’t into. I’m assuming this is just a temporary after effect and this will also get better with time, so I’m just being patient for now!
