Hi recently did cheekbone reduction at the facedental clinic. Here is my 1 week review on my experience~



Consultation:

Arrived at the clinic, there is parking at the side of the building. Just inform the valet that you’re visiting thefacedental clinic and they will park the car for you and give you a parking pass. The clinic will then stamp the pass and you have to show that to the valet once you’re leaving. The clinic is located on the 3rd floor, do not checkin on the first floor as it is a separate clinic. Once youre at the clinic, they will ask you to checkin on the ipad. Clinic was not really foreigner friendly, would be good to speak and understand english or bring a translator friend when going. Dr. does speak english and helpful during consultation, was able to answer my concerns. Once checked-in, they will do a set of xrays, go to the 4th floor and get some blood work done. Afterwards, you will see the Dr for consultation and what you want on your surgery.



Surgery:

Arrive an hour early for surgery, you will have to do a final consultation with the Dr and make you change into a gown for surgery. Surgery happened fast, was brought to the surgery room, shaved my sideburns, got the iv inserted and I dozed off. When I woke up I was already on a wheelchair being transported to my room on the 4th floor. Surgery went well with minimal swelling and bruising, was not given compression band because of chin filler. I was allowed to stay in the room and rest for about 5-6 hrs, nurse was there when needed. After a few hrs post-op, I was helped to walk around the unit and was able to drink water/juice. Definitely bring a drink with you and your payment ready for pills. Nurse will get the pills from pharmacy but will need your card. Pain was managed with iv, was given another dose after 4hrs post op. Dr will check you after a few hrs post-op to see how you are.



Follow-up and deswelling:

You will have to come back to the clinic a few times a week to see your progress. Dr will check your stitches, and nurse will clean and change your side dressing. Will make you sit on the dental chair, cover your eyes, and will put you under a lamp to deswell for about 20mins.
