Jaw Surgery at the Face Dental
I traveled to S.Korea alone to undergo jaw surgery and genioplasty with Dr.Lee at the Face Dental. I was skeptical because I was concerned about the treatment I would have received being Black in Asia.
My experience at the Face Dental was only pleasant. The care I received was exceptional. I never felt discriminated against. Dr. Lee knows his craft very well. The man works magic. I look so transformed for the better. I get compliments everywhere I go because I look so beautiful. I must say that I am so pleased. I was concerned a couple of times because of my anxiety. When he tells you that you mouth won’t remain twisted, it is the truth. He remained calm the entire time responding to my concerns. He was right about every thing. I regained all sensation very early on. My philtrium became very flat. Dr. Lee was right that my philtrium was going to revive itself. It did.
Dr. Lee told me before the surgery that I may need a lip lift after surgery because my philtrum would become elongated after pushing back my front jaw. He was right. I am still contemplating the lip lift because I don’t feel like I really need it.
Every one thinks I got a nose job, but I did not. I believe the jaw surgery lifted my midface. This was somewhat that had always bothered me. I thought it would have been a different surgery later on, but I don’t need it now . My nose was swollen after the surgery, but it is back to its normal size.
Dr. Lee had suggested that I got my brow lift and undereye bag removal before the jaw surgery because those procedures would be a very precise operations and shouldn’t be distorted by swelling from a jaw surgery. I did it at CDU. I am pleased with them too. Look at my eyes!!!
I believe I still have some swelling from the jaw surgery, but I love the swelling at this point . It makes me look so young.
I never had an infection nor complications.
Yesterday, I saw a DDS here in Los Angeles for a jaw check up, and he was impressed by Dr. Lee’s operation. He said that Dr. Lee did a great job.
The only advise I have for the ones who will get the ASO is to give yourself time and don’t rush to eat normal stuff. I should have kept my food very soft up to five months. I was eating anything after three month and that caused my swelling to prolong. I have no pain. I am pleased. Thanks to Dr. Lee and his team.
