Post OP Day 5 - Adventure in S.Korea
“On a positive note, I must say I'm absolutely thrilled with the symmetrical beauty of my nostrils. I simply cannot wait until Wednesday when the cast is finally removed, and I can bask in their glorious perfection!.”
Morning:
I woke up around 5:30 am, all groggy from the post-lasik eye drops. I glanced at my face, hoping for some magical reduction in swelling, but alas, it was still swollen. So, I made the executive decision to go back to sleep. Fast forward to 9:30 am, I embraced the fact that today would be a stay-in kind of day. I hopped into the shower, took my meds like a champ, cleaned my incisions with precision, and diligently applied my eye drops. For breakfast, I indulged in the fine delicacy of onigiri and four boiled eggs. And then, I simply laid down, pondering the intricacies of life. You know, just your typical post-surgery blues contemplation session.
Noon/Afternoon:
VG (Very Good) messaged me, asking if I could send them photos without the bandage. Oh boy, did I deliver! I sent them front, up, down, 45 and 95 degrees, right and left, and even a video. You could say I gave them the whole shebang. And as a creature of habit, I couldn't resist checking my work email. Lo and behold, it was the salary appraisal letter. Let's just say this year's appraisal was a bit underwhelming, but hey, that's life throwing its curveballs at me. It only added a smidge to my post-surgery blues. On top of it all, my face started itching, especially my nose, but I fought the urge to scratch like a true warrior. All is well, my friends. However, my hair, oh my greasy hair, is starting to drive me bonkers. But fear not, I shall wait until Wednesday to finally unleash a hair-washing extravaganza.
