4 Week Post-OP | Revision Rhinoplasty, Face Liposuction, Fat Graft in paranasal area
Hey, Fellow Talkers!
Time for my 4-week post-op review with VG Plastic Surgery. Here's the scoop on what VG did to transform me:
VG's Magical Makeover:
- Revision Rhinoplasty with Rib and ear cartilage (Alarplasty, bridge augmentation using silicone implany, and tiplasty)
- Face liposuction (Jowls, Double chin)
- Fat graft (paranasal area)
Side Note: I had 1cc chin filler, 1cc lip filler, 1cc undereye filler (Different Clinic)
Bruising Update:
- My bridge still has some dark bruising, but it's camera-shy, so not visible on pics, sorry!
- Minor liposuction bruising on my face is almost playing hide and seek, ready to fade away!
Swelling Situation:
- My bridge is settling, but still swollen, and my tip is the champ in the swelling game. Surprise! Right side = less swelling, more aches! Left side = more swelling, less aches! 🤷♀️ My body's having a party!
- Face liposuction still has some residual swelling, but it's calming down like a Zen master.
Touchy Feely Stuff:
- My nose tip is stiff, but I'm resisting the urge to touch it like a forbidden treasure.
- My smile is cautiously peeking through, and my front teeth is now slightly visible but not back to full wattage. Don't wanna risk my rhinoplasty masterpiece!
- Face liposuction areas are still tender, but I'm giving them gentle massages. Hey, lumps, be gone!
Recovery Rituals:
- Working from home until September. Office visits reserved for blue moons and rare sightings. Tuesdays are my office rendezvous days! 😜
- Popping vitamins like a pro - bromelain and arnica to the rescue! Medicine to prevent contraction, check!
- Insomnia's my new buddy thanks to back-sleeping and itchiness due to liposuction. I'm either downing melatonin or antihistamines for sweet Zzzs.
- Keeping myself hydrated with 2 liters of water, 500 ml of coffee (caffeine enthusiast here), and 500ml of electrolyte water for a boost!
- Not much of an appetite (thanks, post-breakup blues), but I'm munching on eggs, greens, goat/cheddar cheese, and meat. Oh, and chocolate oat/soy/almond milk for days when food feels meh.
- Who knew constipation would gatecrash my recovery party? Anti-constipation tablets and stool softener powder drink to the rescue!
Any questions? Shoot! I'm here to spill the tea on my experience! 😊
