VG Fat Graft Experience
Hello everyone! I am going to remain anonymous for privacy. But here is my review after some time has passed. This is a review in exchange for discount, for full transparency.
I got fat grafting (2x) for my smile lines and face symmetry. under eye fat repositioning for my eye shadows.
I jotted down my experiences
Consulting day- I met with Dr. Choi. He was clear and explained every question I had. He assured me as long as I can be detailed, the better.
One thing, unless you’ve had procedures done before, I suggest you do ALL research beforehand and ask allll questions.
Tip: reiterate it All THE TIME if you have special needs to advocate for your own health before surgery
Surgery day was fast in getting started. I changed and was taken in right away. The doctor was running late .
Anesthesia was scary since I wasn’t given enough I think. It was quite some time that passed since they gave me anesthesia. They then covered my body completely and I didn’t move so they thought I was asleep. Nope. I was just scared shitless as to why I could hear instruments being passed around instead of being knocked out yet. (Not my first time being operated on but I know I should be asleep by now). Doctor came to start and I was still awake. I felt the worst pain ever and that signaled them to give me more and then I was out like a light.
Woke up in the middle and I remembered doctor saying “we are going to give you more anesthesia okay?” I said okay and was out again.
Then I was woken up to the recovery room. I felt terrible. The translator went with me to get meds from the pharmacy. She’s helpful.
Then I went home.
The pain is bad so yeah, recovery was not fun. Every time I slept, I had a hard time opening my eyes because of the fluid buildup. Word of advice, have a LOT of q tips on hand.
Went back to clinic to get antibiotic shots and all that. Nurses were gentle and super nice. Didn’t feel a thing.
Day 3 or 4 rolled around and I think I popped a stitch in my left eye. So I asked VG if everything is okay. It bleeds every time I lean kinda downwards or randomly . They didn’t respond for a day so the next day I texted Olivia (all about mei consultant) and she reached out to them. They responded to me right away with her help. I came in to have the doctor take a look. He removed a stitch on the inside and all was well again. The nurses were nice to remove bandages. TIP— Always ask your all about mei consultant for help FIRST. More likely to get assistance and responses!!
Swelling made everything harder. Eye repositioning recovery was harder than fat grafting.
After a few weeks, I went back for a second session. There is loss of volume over a few days.. I lost volume quickly. Usually one round of fat grafting ain’t worth it because it disappears in like a week or two.
Anyways, back at it again and this time, anesthesia worked much much faster than last time. I woke up and they were done. I rested for a quick moment in their recovery room, grabbed meds, and did my errands. Recovery after fat graft was easy this time because no under fat eye repositioning or extraction of fat. Swelling is manageable if you have good tolerance. I went home and life goes on.
So long story short—
I like the results. It’s too subtle for my liking but it is better than before. The clinic is straightforward. You are in and then out. The doctor is straightforward and listens to you. He is good.
There is a good mix of foreigners and Koreans. Seems like this place is known for their noses jobs and seeing their patients, they’re pretty natural!
The reception here needs some customer service improvements though. They need someone who can at least acknowledge people when someone walks in. I was ignored the first 2 times. Not offended since it’s whatever but someone else may be.
I was bothered that it took Olivia reaching out to them to hear my concerns though! So reactions to concerns and mishaps is a little slower. Thankful I had the all about Mei consultant to advocate for me
But the price is good, I got what I asked for. It was a little over $3000 USD for everything. I’m satisfied with the results. I was still swelling in the after picture so my face was not even yet. It takes about 3 months for your face to be fully “you” . I like how it turned out!
