How many days should you stay in Korea
for G-FAT mini liposuction?
Most people planned around 2–3 days
and went back to normal life fast.

Real recovery notes from real TALKS
(pain, swelling, bruising, lumps, scars, travel)
Let’s break it down
question by question.
(You can scroll, or jump to the story cards in each section.)
Most people didn’t call it “painful.”
The common words were:
pressure, tightness, and workout soreness.

Under local anesthesia,
discomfort can spike in a few moments
(thin areas / ribs / flank),
but many said it was tolerable.
Sedation is also optional when doing multiple large areas.
I had literally 0 pain from the end of the procedure until now.
Pain wise, I'm completely fine… more like soreness after trying a new workout programme.
Dr Hong suggested I go under sedation due to the number of places… I have zero memory of what was done during the procedure.
<<Quick takeaway>>
pain is usually described as tolerable
— discomfort varies by area and number of parts.
Most patients describe this as pressure or soreness rather than “sharp pain.” If you can cooperate during the procedure, I usually recommend staying awake, because sedation can add unnecessary risk for a treatment that is typically tolerable. That said, if we’re treating multiple areas or your anxiety is very high, sedation can be considered—safely, with close monitoring.

Bruising looks scary
but “less painful than it looks.”
Swelling and hardness can hide results early.

Walking was mentioned a lot (circulation / daily life), and laser therapy or massages helped them feel better after a month,
but the most consistent message was:
results are gradual.
The bruising was bad but not as painful as it looks… now it just feels like a big bruise inside when I press the areas.
I went in with the expectation that I won't have dramatic result until the swelling is gone.
Two weeks post op, they had me do laser therapy to reduce the bruising and swelling.
<<Quick takeaway>>
swelling + bruising are normal
— early photos don’t always show the final shape.
Bruising and swelling vary a lot from person to person. There isn’t a specific “high-risk type”—it’s more about individual healing response. Even when bruising looks severe at first, most cases improve noticeably within about a week, and continue to settle over the next several days. Early swelling can easily hide the final contour, so it’s important not to judge results too soon.

If you only remember one thing:
Most people planned 2–3 days for recovery logistics.

[Day 0–1]
is often about leakage + dressing.
[Day 1-3]
Many people are already walking outside and doing normal routines (with some soreness).
I would recommend at least 3 days after the surgery…
I was active everyday - walking thousands of steps a day. There was a little discomfort and soreness but nothing that stopped me from going out.
After 1 week, I felt completely normal.
<<Quick takeaway>>
plan 1–2 days for “messy/awkward” phase,
then most people move around normally pretty fast.
During the first 1–2 days, some fluid drainage is normal because tumescent solution cannot be completely removed during the procedure. Entry points are very small and usually seal within a few days, with steri-strips recommended for about a week. In most cases, flying is fine after about 2–3 days, as long as you feel comfortable and follow basic post-care instructions. Light walking is encouraged early, while intense exercise should wait.

it’s usually not a “big incision”
it’s tiny puncture holes.

In real posts, the scar story was mostly:
“I couldn’t tell there was an incision”
👇
“puncture marks faded over time.”
Holes are healing well so far.
it healed very nicely and you cannot tell there was an incision at all!!!
All of the scars (hyperpigmentation) from my puncture holes were pretty much gone after about 6 months.
<<Quick takeaway>>
Most users described tiny puncture holes
— not big cuts.
Visibility usually improves with healing time.
Entry points are very small—small enough that stitches are usually not required. Most patients describe them as similar to a healed pimple mark rather than a surgical scar. We also place these entry points in less visible areas, such as natural skin folds or underwear lines, to minimize visibility as healing progresses.

“Recover faster” in TALKS usually meant one thing:
get back to normal daily life quickly.

People shared that even with soreness/bruising,
they were walking around, going out, and doing normal routines pretty early.
And some specifically chose Ultra G-FAT
when they wanted a stronger option.
Day 4/5 – Still sore if I try to run, but regular daily life is totally normal!
My 2nd time doing G-Fat, this year decided to use Ultra G-FAT. This year, to my surprise, bedsheets were not stained at all. Ultrasound G Fat Liposuction is very good!
I’ve had g-fat ultra, which I feel like I don’t see a lot of on here.
<<Quick takeaway>>
If your goal is “faster normal life,”
recommended early walking + normal routines.
If you’re comparing options,
check Ultra G-FAT
wwhich may support a smoother recovery in selected cases.
Ultra G-FAT is not mandatory for everyone. It can be a good option for patients who tend to recover more slowly or who are concerned about skin firmness after fat removal. Using ultrasound assistance can help with smoother recovery in selected cases, but the decision should be made after examining the tissue characteristics. The goal is always balance—not removing all fat, but creating a natural contour.
