Today's Consultation at Shinsang
Today's consultation gave me a mixture of feelings.
For starters, I had arrived a bit early so naturally grabbed a tea at the Caffe Benne next door. (오미자, omija. Have you tried it? So good!)
I was feeling a bit nervous because I didn't know what to expect, but when I arrived the environment was friendly. The layout is super chic and pretty as well. I could see the doctors were doing their best for their patients as they were quite busy with them.
So, the first unfortunate feeling I had was when I talked to the lovely lady (sorry I forgot her name😭😭) who translated for me.
She told me that I was there for double chin fat. I told her my bigger concern were with my asymmetrical eyes and that I had been told of a possibility of a chin implant.
She looked surprised and told me they don't do chin implants. Naturally, that surprised me too because I was told that that would be a possibility for me 🥲 They also got no information about my concern for my eyes, so they thought I was only there for my double fat.
I do have a little extra chin fat, but to be honest, thanks to my InMode appointments and to Shurink, it has decreased a lot. And if I was getting surgery only focusing on my little extra skin, it would probably not be worth it for me or the doctors.
So naturally I was a bit surprised and so were they.
They thought my eyes weren't too severe either but of course, I dislike it, so it's severe to me😂. They said that because of how close my eyebrow is to my eyes, it would be better to get a forehead lift, but that it could create more wrinkles. To be honest, I'm not sure I would want that🥲.
The doctor had a device that was able to see my fat through ultra sound, and he even mentioned that I didn't have a lot, but yes, he could see that I do have excessive skin. That could be possible for liposuction, but again, the effect wouldn't be very dramatic since I don't have a lot. I understand the perfect model for a surgery like this should have a dramatic change.
And I also learned that the procedures I was wanting aren't really what this clinic is focused on.
Overall, the staff are very friendly and the doctor is fluent in English.
But in the end I'm sad there was a rather large miscommunication about what procedures I was going in for. I left feeling a bit disappointed.
I don't think I am a good candidate for this model promotion, so I think it would be better for me to pull out as well. This promotion deserves to go to a person who could use it and have terrific outcomes.
Thank you for your kindness Shinsang. I hope you find the right fit and I'll also be looking for mine as well🙏
