Post-Op day 2 - Adventure in S. Korea of a girl with disability
Quote of the day: "Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy." - Anne Frank
Good morning, everyone!
First things first, please take a peek at the photo above featuring my magnificent swollen face. Truly a work of art, wouldn't you agree?
Now, let's dive into my morning routine. I kicked off my day around 5:30 am, diligently attending to my post-laser eye surgery routine with a series of eye drops. Next stop: the bathroom! Armed with a warm, wet towel, I embarked on the task of cleaning my body, wiping away any sleepiness that clung to me. Ah, the wonders of arnica cream! I carefully applied it to the rib area, providing some much-needed relief. After that, it was time to pamper my face with the help of trusty wet wipes, followed by a delightful skincare session. Of course, I couldn't forget to show my face some extra love with a generous dose of arnica cream. And let's not forget the prescribed ointment and medicine—gotta follow the doctor's orders! Now, I must confess, I might have been a bit drowsy and sluggish this morning, as the whole routine took me a solid four hours. But hey, slow and steady wins the race, right?
Now, let's talk about what's going on in my body. The congestion train is still chugging along, although I've been instructed not to blow my nose. Goodbye, satisfying nose-blowing sessions! On a brighter note, the soreness in the rib area has considerably eased up. However, my ears have decided to join the fun and are currently indulging in some tingling sensations. Ah, the joys of recovery!
To shake off the sleepiness, I've treated myself to a delightful cup of coffee at Starbucks. Nothing like a caffeine boost to kick-start the day! My plan is to head back to the hotel around lunchtime, allowing the lovely cleaning lady to work her magic and ensure a clean and cozy environment for my recovery. After all, cleanliness is key during this healing journey!
Stay tuned for the afternoon update, where I'll share more laughter, unexpected moments, and hopefully some positive progress. Thank you for joining me on this wild ride!
