My experience.
I am 56kg and stand at 1.58m.
I was intrigued with gfat procedure and was motivated to do it through the helpful chats here.
I reached out to Olivia for the appoinment and that was a breeze. We connected via WhatsApp.
I landed in Seoul in the morning at 9am. My initial appointment was at 2pm. I was early and excited, so I contacted Olivia to moved it to 12pm instead.
Found the clinic with ease.
When I got there, they took all of 5 mins to register me. Then another 5mins for the inbody review.
After which I had my consultation with Doctor Hong. As what other reviewers said… he was very open and clear about the procedure. In total I requested to do gfat ultra on:-
1. Inner and outer upper arms
2. All the front of my tummy
3. Flanks
4. Inner upper and lower thighs
5. Armpits
Dr Hong advise to save my $ and do gfat ultra for just my tummy and the other parts gfat.
I paid up by credit card and was told that I can claim 10% vat at the airport during my departure.
I was then escorted to a level below and was told to change into the clothings provided.
Then I was whisked to have my before body pictures taken in with just nipple stickers and disposable undies. I was ok with that.
Then I was taken to the room where Dr Hong made markings on my body and the action began.
I was told to lie on my back. My stomach was completed first and then my thigh. I was the asked to lie on my front for my flank and my arms. Dr Hong walked through the process with me. Honestly, I did not feel any pain at all! From start to finish. Some parts are uncomfortable and confusing - in the sense of - you know you should be in pain but you are not. . .
If I remembered correctly, first they inject the local anaesthesia, then the liquid that supposedly help to dissolve the fat? Wait 10 mins and the fats sucked out. If you are going to do gfat.. the ultra sound is done before the fat removal.
After the procedure, Dr Hong goes off and the nurses massage and bandaged me up. I felt excellent but had to waddle around because of the padding.
I left the clinic with the prescriptions in my hands and headed to the pharmacy below. I bought a lot of extra as I had a total of 10 incision holes to managed on my own! Spent about 120,000 krw on medication, bandages, sterile strips, wipes and vitamin k cream.
Left the pharmacy at 3pm. And had KFC at the next building. Ate my first round of medications. I then went shopping at olive young for an hour and went back to my hotel.
Then everything went wet!!! I jumped in the bathroom and to change my dressings. Every hole leaked!!! I started from the top part of my body. The most leaky holes were on my lower tummy and my calves. After cleaning up my incisions and the bathroom, I went to a nearby daiso and bought 2 large dark colored towels and a floor mat used for camping. Total spend 15,000krw.
Went to a mart to get my ramen dinner. Then back to the hotel where lay down my mat on the hotel white bed. One towel on top of the mat and the other towel I used as my blanket.
Again, I had to do the whole cleaning routine again but this time I put sanitary pad on the tummy areas and calves. By this time I was so tired and went to bed at 9.30pm before having my ramen and medications.
Next day I was up by 8am. Felt good but achy in a few areas. Not major pain - just like when you over train yourself. Cleaned my incisions and stuck water proof bandages for a nice shower. Only the tummy and calves were leaking. The rest had stopped. Ate breakfast and medication. Left the hotel at 10am and did some shopping. I went to do my checks in a handicap toilet. All holes had stopped leaking. I was on the plane home by 5.30pm. :)
Bruising started in day 3 as expected. The rest of the coming 4days were cleaning my incisions. Bruising gone by day 8.
I am now waiting for the swelling to subside. I have past my day 14. Only a little difference. I will update you with pictures soon. And I will be happy to answer any of your doubts. Overall.. I will recommend gfat for those who is looking for alternative ways to get rid off out joint namesis- fats!!!! 😀
