Planning a skin treatment in Korea? Ask these 5 questions before you book 🇰🇷✨
Hi, I’m Mai! I’ve lived in Korea for six years, graduated with a degree in beauty, and previously worked as a makeup artist at CHICOR in Myeongdong. I now work in aesthetic consultation, helping international clients navigate beauty treatments in Korea.
With so many clinics and treatments to choose from, knowing what to ask can make the process feel much less overwhelming. Here are five questions to keep handy before booking:
1. “Why is this treatment suitable for my skin?”
A trending treatment isn’t automatically the right fit for everyone. Ask the doctor which of your concerns it can address, what results are realistic, and whether there are other suitable options.
2. “What is the total price?”
Check whether the quote includes VAT, consultation, numbing cream, and aftercare. If you’re booking a package, confirm exactly what’s included and whether anything costs extra.
3. “Who will consult with me, and who will perform the treatment?”
Will you speak directly with a doctor before deciding? Who will carry out the procedure? Is support available in a language you’re comfortable with?
4. “What should I expect afterward?”
Ask about downtime, possible side effects, when results may appear, and whether multiple sessions are needed. Share your travel plans, especially if you have an event or a flight coming up.
5. “Who can I contact after I return home?”
Before leaving, make sure you have clear aftercare instructions and know how to contact the clinic if you have concerns.
You deserve clear explanations, transparent pricing, and time to make a decision you feel comfortable with. Save this checklist for your next consultation 🤍
