Dear TALKers,

This is Shinwoo Kang from All about MEI.

We created this CrowdTALKS to provide a space for users to freely and transparently communicate their opinions. Therefore, deleting TALKS posts, whether positive or negative, is prohibited. So far, many clinics have made requests, but we have refused them.

Recently, a user of CrowdTALKS (nickname is 'iamvick') wrote 9 reviews about a clinic where he got surgeries with negative contents on May 7, 2023.

Regarding the recent negative reviews, we also received a request to delete it from the clinic. The clinic argued that negative content was not the reason for the removal, but that there was manipulated evidence of the review. So we asked the clinic to make its claims public so that the Crowds would know. The address of the contents is as follows.

CrowdTALKS is a space where thoughts and experiences are shared freely, also I hope it will be a truthful and healthy space based on facts. Manipulated content can possibly make confuse Crowds' decisions. So I've decided to make the content of TALKS hidden.

I will hide the TALKS content (from user 'iamvick') on May 11, 2023 for the following reasons.

- Suspicious act of manipulating photos

- Exposure of specific clinic information (telephone number, authentication number): Possibility of violating Article 56 of the Korean Medical Law

If there is a rebuttal argument from the user, I will always be open to listening and the Crowds as well. If the user's opinion is correct, I will also re-open the posts.

Regarding this action, we would like to apologize to all of you because we have informed you that we will not delete negative comments until now. This incident created an exception and we want to be transparent about why we made this decision. We hope that this action will not cause any misunderstandings for you. If you comment or contact me about this, I will always talk and listen to your opinions.

Sincerely,

Shinwoo Kang
